It has now been revealed that the Countach name will return, but this time attached to a much-modified Lamborghini Aventador with design cues that are intended to mimic the original Countach, such as the oddly angled wheel arches. It would seem the automaker wants to demonstrate its all-wheel-drive fleet is capable of extreme off-road agility. The previously announced 2022 Outback Wilderness edition has one inch more ground clearance, retuned suspension and transmission, and it gets all-terrain tires. It has also been revealed that a Forester Wilderness model with similar off-road adaptation will also arrive for the 2022 model year. Given Subaru’s long-standing experience with all-wheel-drive, it makes perfect sense that Subaru cashes in on the current boulder-bashing craze.
