The WRX runs with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 271 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Transmissions will consist of a six-speed manual and a continuously variable unit, which is standard with the top-level GT and optional for Base, Premium and Limited trims. Other exclusive GT content includes electronically controlled (constantly variable) shocks and Recaro-brand sport seats. Subaru is expected to release details concerning the sportier WRX STI model later in 2022.
