General Motors’ premium division has recently been teasing the public with prototypes of the midsize Lyriq wagon. At last, Cadillac unveiled the finished version, which becomes available in early 2022 as a 2023 model. The Lyriq’s styling is nothing short of stunning and is arguably the best-looking electric hatchback to be revealed by any automaker so far. A single 33-inch (measured diagonally) is an integral part of the vehicle’s futuristic interior. The standard 19-speaker audio system includes two speakers within the front-seat headrests. The Lyriq’s electric motor is rated at 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque and the battery pack reportedly provides a 300-mile-plus range. Initially, the electric Caddy will be rear-wheel-drive, but an all-wheel-drive Lyriq is planned to arrive a few months after launch. Pricing starts at about $60,000.
