Just about every truck cap on the market is a practical rectangular-shaped box. Michigan Vehicle Solutions is breaking tradition with the Aero X. Obviously designed more for style than practicality, the molded composite top comes with glass side widows plus a lockable louvered rear window that opens wide for loading and unloading cargo. It also provides protection from the sun while ensuring an unobstructed rear view. The Aero X is currently available for 2015 and newer Ford F-150 pickups with 5.5- and 6.5-foot beds, but the company plans to expand availability to include heavy-duty and midsize trucks from the automaker,…

According to The Sleuth’s sources, the name of the man credited with making Chevrolet’s iconic sports car the success it is today will be emblazoned on the all-new 2020 Corvette, or attached to a specific Corvette model. In a radical move, the engine of the eighth-generation Corvette — referred to as the C8 — will be behind the cockpit instead of in front of it. While working as a Corvette engineer, it was Arkus-Duntov’s desire to adopt a mid-engine design, but that never happened. He retired in 1975 and died in 1996. At this point it’s unclear how his name…

Getting the dirt, dust and crumbs out of your vehicle is part of the whole car-care experience, but it can be a real pain when you try to use some unwieldy household canister vacuum to get the job done. The flexible four-foot-long hose connects to a standard nozzle/brush attachment or a narrow crevice tool for reaching hard-to-get-at places. When not in use, the Flex Auto Vac’s storage bag keeps everything in its…
